Lofty was planning a surprise Isle of Wight honeymoon for Michelle with the money Den had promised to loan him. Meanwhile, Arthur continued to worry over the cost of his daughter's wedding. He had calculated that the wedding and reception would cost £1,530, which they were far from having. Adding to the wedding blues; the vicar had expressed reluctance at performing the ceremony. He complained that he hadn't seen Michelle in church since last Christmas. Lou told the family not to worry about what the vicar said because she intended to have a private word with him about it.

Arthur overheard and asked about joining in. He hoped to get quick cash for the wedding and "borrowed" £40 from Michelle's wedding fund for the game. When he stumbled home late that night, drunk and skint, Michelle was up and noticed £40 missing from the jar in the kitchen. Arthur confessed that he'd taken it in hopes of wining more to pay for her wedding.

Hannah cut off Cassie's pocket money for another month over the dope smoking incident. She was most worried about what was becoming of her daughter. Tony was too busy getting the top flat ready for a possible buyer to worry about anything else. At 11 o'clock, a free-lance graphics designer named Colin Russell arrived to see the flat and told Tony he was definitely interested in buying it.
